HELLO and WELCOME to my personal blog. It's not private, but this is not unlike an online journal. I'm writing and posting here with no audience identified/intended, nor with any coherent or consistent theme beyond that which strikes me as interesting.

To the extent I use social media, it is sometimes pseudonymous, quite limited, and inconsistent. This blog, like my personal site jacobmesser.info, is in lieu of much social media presence and the hub of my online activities. 

• Twitter has been fun historically because it's simple - just short text-based posts ("microblogging").
• Instagram was nice for a while - just pictures - but there are too many ads, among other problems. 
• Facebook, meanwhile, as well as the content it pushes, is diabolical. 

Blogging is a more rewarding and creative enterprise, if less "social" or interactive than engagement on the traditional social media sites.

As for "About Me," I'm a free and critical thinker averse to the mob. Hobbyist, writer. High in openness and decently agreeable. Quiet, curious, creative.
